Tickets for Houston’s Premier Food & Wine Event On Sale Now!

HOUSTON – Fans of phenomenal food and wine are invited to an afternoon of fun and festivities at the 15th International Risotto Festival on Sunday, November 14 from 2pm-6pm at The Houston Design Center. The exceptional outdoor strolling event returns with delicious Italian creations from top Houston chefs, fantastic wines, music, entertainment, exotic cars, a charity auction, designer showroom tours, and lively activities for kids.

This year’s festival will benefit Second Servings of Houston, the city’s only prepared and perishable food rescue organization. The local nonprofit is on a mission to fight hunger and end waste in the community by picking up unsold and unserved food from food businesses, such as distributors, retailers and manufacturers. With these resources, Second Servings is able to deliver perfectly edible surplus food at no cost to more than 90 local shelters, soup kitchens, low- income housing and many other charities. Since 2015, Second Servings of Houston has rescued over 5 million pounds of food, valued at more than $50 million, from over 400 food donors to fill stomachs, not landfills.

Second Servings is honored to have Tom and Robin Segesta serve as the event’s Honorary Chairs. As General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Houston, Tom Segesta has been donating the luxury hotel’s surplus food to Second Servings since the food rescue nonprofit began operations in 2015. The Segesta’s are also the co-founders of Camp H-Town – an urban oncology youth camp at the Four Seasons Hotel that provides a fun and safe camp setting at no financial cost to children who have been affected by cancer. Second Servings’ most dedicated volunteers: Jennifer Greenberg,
Tony Greisinger and Fran Zandstra will serve as Event Chairs.

VIP and General Admission tickets are on sale now with Early Bird pricing ending on October 14. VIP tickets include access for one to all festival activities, valet parking, signature wine glass, food and beverages throughout, and exclusive experiences at the VIP Lounge, where guests can mingle with participating sponsors, chefs and judges, sip fine wines and enjoy a fine selection of coffees and desserts.

The International Risotto Festival was founded in 2000 and has a rich history as real culinary competition for a good cause. More than 75 of Houston’s finest chefs have competed to help raise more than $750,000 for local charities in the 14 productions of the festival since that date.
